Courson Day 1

 

I have just returned from Courson, the bi-annual mecca for plant lovers in France. Plant specialists from England, Holland, France and Italy bring their “babies” to this luxury three-day fair for adoption by adoring, green-thumbed parents. Visitors with larger gardens purchase fold-out wheelbarrows that remind me of strollers, and proudly wheel their purchases around with them. The variety and quality of the plants are truly inspiring.

Basically, the plants and flowers are so wondrous that one leaves the fair looking like this happy gardener who obviously can’t wait to get her hands in the dirt:
